Job Description

American House Senior Living Communities is a well-established and respected senior living provider, founded in 1979. With nearly four decades of experience, the company has built a reputation for offering high-quality, affordable housing options specifically designed to meet the needs of retirees and their families. The organization is dedicated to delivering compassionate care and fostering an environment that encourages meaningful relationships among residents, staff, and families. American House Senior Living Communities is committed to innovation and sustainable excellence, continuously striving to create value for stakeholders through nurturing passionate and empathetic care provided by dedicated professionals. The company operates multiple senior living communities, each focusing on the well-being, comfort, and happiness of its residents. They seek individuals who share their mission and vision and are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors.

In line with this mission, American House Senior Living Communities is currently seeking a part-time Concierge for their vibrant Sarasota location. This role is pivotal, as the Concierge serves as the welcoming face of the community, playing a vital part in shaping the daily experience of residents and visitors. The position is part-time, with shifts available either from 8am to 4pm or 4pm to midnight, and requires availability for at least one of these shifts. The Concierge will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to residents, guests, and staff, ensuring that everyone feels valued and cared for in this warm, friendly environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with seniors and is adept at creating joyful experiences that brighten the day for others. The Concierge is more than just a greeter; they are a reliable source of assistance, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, handling mail, and offering administrative support that keeps the community running seamlessly. The ability to use technology proficiently, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and the BILD sales system, is essential, enabling the Concierge to maintain efficient communication and documentation.

Safety is a priority in this community, and the Concierge acts as a safety champion by leading emergency procedures with confidence and compassion. They are attentive to details that affect the residents' quality of life, addressing concerns promptly while communicating effectively with the Executive Director and other team members. In addition to administrative duties, the Concierge injects life and excitement into the community by leading weekend activities, ensuring that residents have fulfilling and engaging experiences.

By joining American House Senior Living Communities as a Concierge, individuals become part of a friendly and supportive team driven by a shared dedication to enriching seniors' lives. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in a thriving industry, with scope for growth and professional development. Individuals with prior experience in senior living environments will find a welcoming place to apply their skills and passion, while newcomers can build a meaningful career centered around compassionate service and community engagement. This role exemplifies how thoughtful, personalized service can enhance well-being and create a home-like atmosphere where residents feel truly cared for and connected.
