Public Service Credit Union (PSCU) is the oldest credit union in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with a proud history of nearly a century serving the local community. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service or financial services preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to accurately handle cash transactions
  • Understanding of banking or credit union policies
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Commitment to providing excellent member service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or financial institution environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems and financial software
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and credit union policies is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome members in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
  • Build strong relationships with members and guide them into a full relationship with PSCU
  • Provide comprehensive, prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions
  • Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, examine endorsements, and enter deposits accurately
  • Process withdrawals and share draft/check cashing, verify amounts, and accurately enter withdrawals
  • Assist with mail or email transactions when available
  • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds
  • Issue cashier checks, money orders, and certificates of deposit
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of shifts, research, and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure workspace and lobby are stocked with forms, supplies, and brochures
  • Assist members with using the Interactive Teller Machine
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Cross-sell credit union services such as debit cards, credit cards, loans, deposit products, and online banking
