Our Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located in Orlando, FL, is a dedicated healthcare facility committed to providing compassionate and quality care to our residents. We specialize in skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and support to promote their health and well-being. As a community-focused establishment, we prioritize creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents and their families feel comfortable and supported throughout their stay. We are currently looking to expand our team with the addition of a Concierge who is friendly, compassionate, and detail-oriented. This role is essential to maintaining the positive experience and smooth operations of our center.
The Concierge will serve as the welcoming face of our facility, playing a vital role in creating a warm and supportive experience for residents and their families from admission through discharge. This full-time position offers up to $20 per hour and requires a person who can effectively partner with multiple departments to coordinate admissions, manage room preparations, and provide ongoing support. The Concierge will be responsible for assembling and delivering welcome baskets, escorting residents, and responding to call bells promptly within their scope. A critical part of the job is building meaningful relationships by addressing resident concerns and assisting with room transitions. The role also involves documentation responsibilities and participation in staff meetings and training sessions to maintain a high-quality standard of service. - Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation setting, or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) preferred
Job Duties
- Partner with the Admissions Department to coordinate new admissions and communicate equipment needs to nursing staff
- Prepare rooms for incoming residents by ensuring previous belongings are packed and removed
- Terminal cleaning is completed
- Beds are made and call bells, lights, and TVs are functioning properly
- Assemble and deliver welcome baskets for new residents
- Greet and escort residents from the lobby to their rooms, creating a positive first impression
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families by providing support and assistance
- Respond to call bells within scope and notify nursing staff when additional care is needed
- Address resident concerns and complaints in accordance with the grievance process
- Assist with room transitions, including short-term rehabilitation to long-term care
- Complete Concierge follow-up documentation within 48 hours of admission and prior to discharge
- Provide tours during off-hours or when Admissions staff are unavailable
- Submit daily progress reports to leadership, noting trends or concerns
- Coordinate with laundry services for the return of stored belongings
- Prepare and distribute discharge gift bags
- Monitor and coordinate resident smoking schedules
- Attend in-service trainings, Resident Council meetings, and required staff meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator
