Job Description
The Lafayette is a reputable senior living community dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for its residents. Known for its comprehensive care services and vibrant community life, The Lafayette emphasizes making every resident and visitor feel comfortable and valued. The organization prides itself on creating a high-quality living experience through attentive customer service, professional staff, and a range of amenities that promote well-being and community engagement. As a part of the broader Phoenix Senior Living family, The Lafayette is committed to excellence in senior care and hospitality, aiming to enrich the lives of older adults by fostering independence, social connections, and personalized support.
The role of Concierge at The Lafayette is pivotal in shaping the first impression that prospective residents, families, and visitors receive. This position is often the initial point of contact and plays a critical role in enhancing the community's customer experience. The Concierge is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors warmly, managing incoming calls efficiently, and providing essential information about the community. Working primarily during the 2nd and 3rd shifts, the Concierge supports the Community Engagement Director and Executive Director in marketing and sales efforts and contributes to the recruitment process by engaging with potential employees.
In addition to greeting guests, the Concierge oversees the community entry area, ensuring it is inviting and welcoming, offering refreshments as appropriate, and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in communal areas such as the Bistro. The Concierge manages appointment scheduling for residents and family members, sends thoughtful get well and sympathy cards with community leader endorsements, and handles general administrative duties such as computer data entry. This part-time and PRN (as-needed) role offers flexible shifts including evenings and overnight hours, making it ideal for individuals seeking work in a dynamic, people-oriented environment within the senior living industry.
This position requires excellent communication skills, a customer service-driven mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy community setting. Prior experience in customer service and familiarity with the senior living sector are preferred, as is a high school diploma or equivalent. The Concierge at The Lafayette not only facilitates day-to-day interactions within the community but also supports the broader mission of Phoenix Senior Living by fostering a nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment for seniors and their families.
