Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • at least one year preferred of front desk or reception related experience
  • knowledge of typing, filing, use of copy machines, telephone systems, intercommunication system, and office equipment
  • understanding of resident rights, confidentiality, employee handbook, and census
  • friendly, courteous, patient, understanding, and able to work well with staff, residents, and families
  • ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist visitors, families, residents
  • answer telephone promptly using appropriate community greeting
  • sort and distribute mail
  • type, file, and handle correspondence
  • adhere to and interpret residents' rights
  • adhere to and interpret personnel policies
  • use office equipment such as computers, calculators, copy machines, postage machines
  • express concern and compassion for residents and families
  • escort people as necessary to resident suites and other areas
  • perform other duties as assigned
