City Winery’s Concierge team is responsible for a wide range of operational and guest relations duties. Effective communication skills, a calm demeanor, and a thorough knowledge of venue offerings are crucial for fulfilling these responsibilities. The role requires managing in-person, phone, and online ticket sales while also handling all aspects of retail merchandise sales, including organization, inventory, ordering, and transactions. Concierges work closely with box office staff to support event operations, troubleshoot guest inquiries, and ensure seamless seating arrangements, including special accommodations for VIPs and investors.

2+ years prior experience in a concierge, box office, or customer service role in a hospitality setting

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

correspond with guests in person, phone, and email
manage in-person, online, and phone ticket sales
handle all retail merchandise transactions, organization, sales, inventory, ordering needs, and upkeep
maximize ticket sales and retail merchandise sales
actively participate in and support box office staff duties as needed, including set up and breakdown of venue spaces
assist guests with seat changes
compile house and artist comps and arrange seating appropriately
handle troubleshooting with guests on ticketing purchases
close out and reconcile box office transactions
arrange special care of VIPs, investors, or other guests who may receive gratis food or drink
maintain a neat and tidy concierge booth
handle payment transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer
attend training courses, tastings, meetings, as needed
maintain a knowledge of City Winery brand, history, culture, and programming, both in venue and restaurant
other duties, tasks, projects as per business needs
