The Concierge role at Distinctive Living is an integral position that serves as the first point of contact for residents, prospective residents, families, and visitors. Available as either a full-time or part-time position, this role requires a dedicated individual who presents a friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor both in person and over the phone. The Concierge is responsible for managing the lobby experience and ensuring a smooth and positive interaction for all community visitors. This includes greeting visitors, answering and directing telephone calls, managing packages and mail, and supporting various departments such as Sales and Marketing as well as the Business Office. Attention to detail and creativity are key to fostering an inviting atmosphere, encouraging residents to participate in community activities, and supporting the overall operational flow within the community.
In addition to acting as the community's ambassador, the Concierge collaborates closely with sales and marketing teams, handling inquiries and facilitating tours when higher management is unavailable. The role also involves administrative tasks such as assisting with resident documentation and maintaining confidentiality within the business office. By combining exceptional customer service skills with an understanding of community operations, the Concierge supports Distinctive Living's mission to create a living environment that is both comfortable and engaging for residents and visitors alike.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- minimum six months experience in receptionist or similar role
- proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
- ability to maintain confidentiality

- dependable and professional demeanor
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months of experience in a receptionist role or similar function
- experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to communicate verbally in person and over the phone
- bilingual Spanish skills helpful but not required
Job Duties
- Proactively assist residents, families, visitors, and employees with questions or problems resulting in a positive experience
- greet all visitors and answer incoming calls in a professional and respectful manner
- monitor entry area for visitors and guests, greet and direct as necessary, answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls, forward and take messages, receive and send packages for residents, assist with residents who request assistance with mailing letters and packages
- manage the lobby area, monitor and ensure desk and lobby are clean and neat, create a comfortable, inviting area
- assist the activity director and/or others as necessary in promoting activities with residents in the lobby
- manage the inquiry process, connecting the caller or visiting customer to the appropriate team member
- respond to inquiries and/or tours when community relations director, executive director and resident care directors are not available
- facilitate experiences/tours of community as needed
- support marketing standards of the community
- assist with duties related to the Lead Management Program
- assist with assembling marketing packets
- assist in processing new resident documentation
- maintain resident files and documentation while maintaining confidentiality
- promote and encourage residents to participate in activities
- follow and communicate company policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
