Job Description
American House Senior Living Communities, established in 1979, is a leading provider of senior housing dedicated to delivering high-quality living environments at prices that are affordable for retirees and their families. With nearly four decades of experience in the industry, American House has grown to serve numerous senior communities, maintaining a strong commitment to excellence and compassionate care. Their mission centers on enriching the lives of their residents by creating an atmosphere that encourages meaningful relationships and emotional well-being. The company envisions itself as an innovative leader in senior housing, focused on sustainable excellence and creating value for all stakeholders through passionate and compassionate service delivered by dedicated professionals.
The part-time Concierge position at American House Senior Living Communities plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation and welcoming environment of the community during evenings and weekends. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Concierge is responsible for managing the integrity of the building during scheduled shifts, ensuring that residents and guests receive the highest standard of customer service. This role requires a professional who excels in communication, problem-solving, and administrative duties, contributing significantly to residents' safety and satisfaction.
The Concierge serves as a primary point of contact both in person and via telephone, adeptly handling multiple incoming calls, greeting guests and residents, and directing them appropriately. Responsiveness to resident concerns and emergencies during shifts is paramount, as the Concierge is often the first line of support for any issues that arise. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling appointments, sorting mail and deliveries, and general clerical support employing proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
Moreover, the Concierge is entrusted with overseeing and running weekend activities, enhancing the social and recreational life of the residents. Familiarity with the BILD sales system is essential to support operational needs. The role also requires collaboration with other team members, such as alerting the Executive Director of emergencies and reporting maintenance needs to the Assistant Director. This position is vital in upholding the community standards and fostering a safe, engaging, and harmonious living experience for all residents.
