As part of this extraordinary team, the Shipboard Concierge Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that every guest's experience is remarkably personalized and memorable. Reporting to the Manager of Concierge (shipboard) and designated as a Level 2 Stripes role, the Shipboard Concierge Manager is pivotal in orchestrating seamless guest itineraries, exclusive events, and special accommodations throughout the voyage. This role demands a hands-on leader who can inspire a team, manage the Concierge Lounge efficiently, and maintain the highest cleanliness and service standards compliant with Disney's signature show quality.
Key responsibilities include providing bespoke itinerary planning to concierge guests, securing special bookings for spa, dining, and exclusive excursions, as well as assisting with billing and unique guest requests. The manager actively engages with up to 154 staterooms depending on the vessel, championing service excellence daily. This role is not only about managing luxury guest services but also about curating a safe, fun, and enchanting atmosphere for all passengers, including children. Job Requirements
- Valid passport and C1/D seaman's visa (to be provided by Disney Cruise Line)
- Completion of a pre-employment medical
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
- Willingness to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Willingness to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities, and associated tasks as specified in the ship assembly plan
- Willingness to uphold safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System
- Willingness to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciate working in a multicultural environment
- Two years of hospitality experience with a luxury brand
Job Qualifications
- Two year hospitality experience with a luxury brand
- Leadership and concierge experience preferred with knowledge of proper concierge etiquette
- Resort or cruise line concierge experience desired of affluent clientele
- Must be creative and enjoy crafting a fun and safe atmosphere for children
- Clearly convey information
- Proven record to deliver excellent service
- Self motivated, able to work autonomously
- Ability to build relationships amongst other departments
- Languages preferred including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi, Arabic, Tagalog, Bahasa, Malay
Job Duties
- Service designated concierge guests by providing personalized itinerary planning, acquiring special bookings, planning special events, assisting with folio settlement or any other special requests
- Deliver the highest level of personalized service and actively interact with concierge guests daily
- Take full ownership of the concierge lounge ensuring all food and beverage aspects are well run and implemented
- Monitor cleanliness and maintenance of the concierge lounge ensuring it meets show quality standards
- Create an environment and perform services that ensure all guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Coordinate activities, excursions, and events during guest voyages
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experience
