Job Description

Our Assisted Living Facility is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to seniors, ensuring they live with dignity, comfort, and respect. The Concierge role at our Assisted Living Facility is a vital position within our team, serving as the first point of contact for residents, their families, and visitors. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor to create a positive and supportive environment. As a Concierge, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, coordinating services such as appointments and transportation, and assisting with various administrative tasks including managing correspondence and maintaining resident records. Your ability to multitask and communicate clearly will be essential in ensuring seamless operations and a welcoming experience for all who enter our community.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and does not include supervisory responsibilities. The concierge plays a key role in promoting safety by monitoring the facility and reporting any security concerns. You will also collaborate with other staff members to promptly address resident needs and resolve issues. The role demands knowledge of customer service principles, facility amenities, and safety protocols, as well as proficiency in computer tasks like email and database management.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have previous experience in hospitality or customer service environments, preferably within senior living or healthcare settings. Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly valued. The position requires compliance with health screenings and background checks. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.50 per hour depending on experience, reflecting the importance of dedication and skill in delivering excellent service within the assisted living setting.

Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age

  • special licenses, certifications, and certificates such as first aid/CPR certified
  • special skills needed to meet client needs per California Code of Regulations Sections 85065(f)/87411(g)
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk role, preferably in senior living or healthcare environment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficiency in computer systems including word processing, email, and database management

Job Duties

  • Greet residents, families, and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, creating a welcoming environment
  • provide information, answer inquiries, and assist residents and their families with various requests and concerns
  • coordinate appointments, transportation, and other services as needed, ensuring a seamless experience for residents
  • maintain knowledge of facility amenities, activities, and services, and effectively communicate this information to residents and visitors
  • assist with administrative tasks, such as managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining resident records, and managing appointment schedules
  • maintain a clean and organized concierge desk area, ensuring necessary supplies are stocked and readily available
  • collaborate with other staff members to address resident needs and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally
  • monitor the security and safety of facility, reporting any unusual incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • act as a liaison between residents, their families, and other departments within the facility to facilitate effective communication and coordination
  • uphold resident privacy and confidentiality
  • assist with other related tasks as needed
