This specific role as a Concierge at Sunrise of Redmond offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and administrative support within a senior living community. The Concierge serves as the initial contact point and first impression for residents, their families, visitors, and potential team members. This position is critical in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth communication between guests and the community’s leadership, such as the Director of Sales and the Executive Director. The Concierge is responsible for greeting visitors warmly, managing incoming calls efficiently, providing community information, and supporting the overall operations of the community. This includes assisting with recruitment processes, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front desk and Bistro areas, and coordinating logistics related to resident move-ins and community safety.

As a part-time role based on a Wednesday to Friday schedule with some weekend coverage as needed, the Concierge position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have previous customer service experience, proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office, and a genuine passion for serving seniors and their families. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and related applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and community policies
  • Must be available Wednesday to Friday and weekends as needed
  • Ability to participate in required training and compliance programs
  • Successful completion of background check, drug test, tuberculosis test, and physical evaluation
  • COVID-19 and influenza vaccination as required by law

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
  • Extend a warm welcome and greeting
  • Offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
  • Ensure community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator for prospective residents and visitors
  • Greet potential employment candidates and direct them to apply online or input information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls within two to three rings with appropriate greetings
  • Take complete and accurate messages and communicate them to intended recipients
  • Provide community overviews to callers and forward calls appropriately
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members
  • Send get well and sympathy cards as needed
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents
  • Maintain neat and organized front desk and entry areas
  • Monitor and stock the Bistro area including refreshments and snacks
  • Ensure music is playing throughout the day
  • Adhere to safety and risk management policies and procedures
  • Maintain resident and team member rosters and schedules for emergency purposes
  • Monitor and maintain sign-in/out logs for guests and residents
  • Update telephone and resident rosters daily
  • Prepare and tally meal tickets and collect meal ticket money
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Assist with recruitment data entry and administrative duties
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disperse team member paychecks
  • Participate in team meetings and training
  • Comply with all company policies and perform additional duties as assigned
