Job Description
Avanti Senior Living is a distinguished community dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for seniors. Recognized for our warm, welcoming environment and commitment to resident care, Avanti strives to create a space where aging is embraced with dignity, respect, and joy. As a part of the senior living industry, Avanti Senior Living blends compassionate service with a vibrant community spirit, ensuring that each resident feels valued and cared for every day. Our team is made up of individuals who approach their roles with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. This collaborative atmosphere fosters professional growth and a rewarding workplace environment.
The role of Director of First Impressions at Avanti Senior Living is a unique and vital position that goes beyond traditional receptionist duties. This individual is the first point of contact for visitors, guests, residents, and vendors, making them essential to the community's welcoming atmosphere. The Director of First Impressions is responsible for greeting everyone with a smile and a pleasant demeanor that conveys happiness and enthusiasm, creating a positive experience from the moment anyone enters the community. This attitude of joy and warmth significantly contributes to making the workplace more enjoyable and the job responsibilities easier to manage.
Beyond greeting and directing visitors, this role includes a variety of front desk responsibilities and some administrative tasks crucial to the smooth operation of the community. Duties include answering phones with courtesy and professionalism, managing visitor check-ins and outs, monitoring resident safety by observing and intervening when necessary, and ensuring the reception area and surrounding spaces are clean, organized, and presentable at all times. The Director of First Impressions also assists with activities in the lobby area, particularly during quieter weekend or evening hours, and supports other departments and tasks as needed.
This position demands a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a sometimes busy, interruption-filled environment. The ideal candidate will be a polished professional with strong communication skills and a pleasant voice, capable of managing both the administrative and human interaction aspects of the role with equal proficiency. Flexibility in scheduling is also important, as the community operates 24/7 and requires coverage during weekends.
Avanti Senior Living values candidates who bring a respectful approach to resident rights and confidentiality, with experience or a willingness to work with older adults. This role is perfect for an individual who enjoys customer service, thrives on interpersonal interactions, and wants to contribute positively to a supportive community atmosphere. As the face of Avanti Senior Living, the Director of First Impressions plays a critical part in making every visitor and resident feel at home and welcomed with genuine care and respect.
