Job Description

EDITION Hotels represent a unique fusion of visionary boutique hospitality and world-class luxury service, established under the creative leadership of Ian Schrager and powered by the global scope of Marriott International. These hotels distinguish themselves by blending polish with personality, perfectionism with individualism, and comfort with charisma, delivering a hospitality experience that breaks the bounds of traditional service. The brand is aimed at sophisticated and knowledgeable consumers who appreciate quality, originality, design, and exceptional service, but expect these qualities without limitations or pretension. At the heart of EDITION is a commitment to authenticity, seamless service, and a distinctive blend of charm and innovation that creates truly memorable and enchanting guest experiences.

EDITION Hotels pride themselves on merging the theatrical elements of hospitality with heartfelt, genuine service where each guest interaction is infused with personality and care. This atmosphere is crafted by a team that embraces both the excitement of delivering impeccable experiences and the satisfaction of joining a global community with shared values and standards. Being part of EDITION means being part of a brand that demands passion, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in guest service.

The Guest Services Representative role is essential in living this brand ethos. It involves attending to guest requests and special arrangements—such as transportation, restaurant reservations, or dry cleaning—by connecting guests to appropriate services and vendors. The representative acts as a knowledgeable and approachable resource, providing insightful information about the property, local amenities, and upcoming events and activities. This role demands responsiveness to guest inquiries and concerns through various channels including telephone, and requires collaboration with other hotel departments like Bell Services and Housekeeping to ensure seamless guest satisfaction.

In addition to facilitating exceptional service delivery, this position places a strong emphasis on maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards, personal presentation, confidentiality, and protection of the hotel’s assets. The role also involves monitoring guest areas such as the club lounge for comfort, safety, and overall well-being of visitors, thus ensuring a welcoming and secure environment.

The Guest Services Representative serves as the friendly face of the hotel, greeting guests warmly according to company standards, anticipating and catering to their needs—including assistance to guests with disabilities—and exiting each interaction with a sincere expression of gratitude. Effective communication skills, attention to detail in documentation, and a supportive team-oriented attitude are critical to success in this position.

Physical demands of the role include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds. While no prior experience or supervisory background is required, a high school diploma or GED is preferred. Commitment to quality, guest satisfaction, and contributing to a team environment altogether define this rewarding entry-level position.

Working with EDITION means joining a brand that is part of Marriott International, a global leader in hospitality renowned for inclusivity and equal opportunity employment. Marriott upholds values that celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences, fostering an inspiring workplace where every employee has the opportunity to thrive and grow. Joining EDITION is the beginning of a purposeful career journey where you belong to an amazing global team and become the best version of yourself.
