The Concierge plays a critical role as the initial point of contact and first impression for Sunrise Senior Living communities. This position involves greeting prospective residents, their families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism, managing all external and internal communications efficiently, and communicating messages meticulously. The Concierge supports the Director of Sales and the Executive Director by providing community information and assisting in the recruitment process alongside the Business Office Coordinator or HR Designee. In addition to managing the front desk, the role includes supervising the Bistro area to maintain a welcoming atmosphere through cleanliness, refreshments, and music. This part-time or full-time position offers competitive compensation dependent on location and experience, with a focus on administrative duties, customer service, risk management compliance, and sales support. Candidates for this role will be essential in ensuring safety protocols are observed and in contributing to a positive community experience by engaging in various marketing, administrative, and operational tasks. The Concierge’s duties promote community engagement and help maintain high safety standards, supporting Sunrise’s mission to provide exceptional senior care. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents and offer refreshments
  • contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet prospective residents and families
  • greet potential job candidates and manage recruitment process entry
  • answer incoming telephone calls promptly with appropriate greetings
  • take and communicate messages with complete information
  • offer community overviews to callers and direct calls appropriately
  • manage appointments for residents and families
  • send get well and sympathy cards to residents and families
  • order flowers and name plates for new residents
  • maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • support sales and marketing communication and database entry
  • perform other administrative duties related to resident move-in
  • keep the front desk and entry area neat and organized
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness and supplies in the Bistro
  • manage music in the community space
  • ensure front desk coverage during breaks
  • ensure community compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including PPE and emergency protocols
  • maintain emergency rosters and champion the Safe Leaving Program
  • respond to emergencies per policy
  • manage sign-in and sign-out of guests and residents
  • maintain high-risk elopement list with photographs
  • update resident phone lists and registers
  • prepare and process meal tickets and money
  • organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • maintain resident forms for credits
  • assist with recruitment data entry
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse team member paychecks
  • participate actively in team meetings and engagement activities
  • maintain compliance with required training
  • perform other assigned duties as needed
