Job Description

Our establishment is a distinguished boutique hotel known for its heartfelt, human connections that elevate the hospitality experience beyond the ordinary. Founded by visionary Bill Kimpton, the hotel was born out of a desire to defy impersonal and generic hospitality standards, creating instead a warm and inviting environment where genuine connections thrive. Rooted in a culture that began in San Francisco in 1981, the hotel combines entrepreneurial spirit and a zest for life, fostering an atmosphere that celebrates individuality, creativity, and self-leadership. Employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, resulting in a unique, empowering, and exciting workplace dynamic that resonates with both staff and guests alike.

The role available is for a Concierge, a pivotal position within our hotel where the primary focus is to serve as an advocate for the hotel and a creator of deeply personal guest experiences. This role demands a gracious and professional approach in providing guests and industry partners with comprehensive information and support. As a Concierge, you will be tasked with duties that include guest service agent responsibilities as needed, positioning you as a key contributor to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the hotel. Your efforts in developing meaningful relationships with guests are instrumental in encouraging repeat visits, making you a vital part of our commitment to personalized hospitality.

In this role, you will greet guests upon arrival and assist them with room reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. Your knowledge of the city's geography, dining options, amenities, and entertainment venues will be essential in offering accurate and helpful recommendations. You will also be involved in coordinating and developing evening events and receptions, collaborating with wineries and other local businesses to enrich the guest experience. Your responsibilities extend to supporting the sales team with hotel tours and events, conducting tours for various organizations, handling operational duties such as reservations and PBX operation, and managing VIP and package arrivals. Building and maintaining connections with external service providers such as babysitters, florists, spa services, and more, will be key to delivering comprehensive concierge services.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in front desk or customer-facing roles, and the ability to adapt gracefully in dynamic situations. Familiarity with hotel operational systems, along with a flexible schedule to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays, will contribute to success in this position. Our culture values diversity and inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds to contribute their unique personalities and talents in a supportive environment. This is an opportunity to join a boutique hotel that not only prioritizes guest experience but also fosters a workplace where every employee can make a meaningful impact daily.
