The role of Concierge at Sunrise Senior Living embodies the company's dedication to guest experience and seamless community operations. This part-time position, located at the Whispering Chase community in Cheyenne, Wyoming, offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $12.25 to $15.35, depending on experience and qualifications. As the first point of contact, the Concierge plays a key role in shaping the impressions of potential residents, families, and visitors by providing warm greetings, managing calls, and offering community information. The Concierge supports various administrative functions and contributes to recruitment efforts, thus playing a vital role in both resident and team member engagement.
In this position, the Concierge is responsible for overseeing the community’s entry area, ensuring that visitors feel welcomed with refreshments and a pleasant atmosphere. They handle call management by answering telephone inquiries promptly, taking messages, and coordinating appointments such as hairdresser visits or transportation for residents. The Concierge also assists with marketing and move-in procedures by preparing materials and supporting the Director of Sales, enhancing the community’s outreach and reputation.
Beyond front desk responsibilities, the role includes managing the Bistro area by monitoring cleanliness, maintaining snack supplies, and maintaining a comfortable environment with music. The Concierge contributes significantly to risk management efforts by ensuring compliance with safety procedures, maintaining rosters and schedules essential for emergency protocols, and supporting the Safe Leaving Program which prioritizes residents’ security.
Administrative duties are vast and critical, ranging from tracking meal tickets, processing money in accordance with internal controls, organizing mail distribution, to updating various logs and registers. The Concierge also participates actively in team meetings, training sessions, and engagement programs, reinforcing a collaborative and growth-oriented workplace culture.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service roles
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and compliance standards
- Ability to work part-time hours
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Meet vaccination requirements as mandated by law
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Proven customer service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel, and ability to learn new applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents and provide beverages
- Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet prospective residents, families, or visitors
- Greet potential job candidates and assist with recruitment by directing them to apply or entering their information into the Applicant Tracking System
- Answer incoming telephone and resident calls promptly with proper greetings and take complete messages
- Offer community overviews to callers and direct calls appropriately
- Manage residents' appointments such as hairdresser and transportation
- Send get well and sympathy cards to residents and families as needed
- Order flowers and name plates for new residents and guest meals for move-ins
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and Bistro area including snacks and music
- Support the Safe Leaving Program by monitoring entry and exit of residents and executing related safety procedures
- Update resident and team member rosters, guest logs, and meal ticket accounting
- Assist with recruitment data entry and general administrative tasks
- Participate in team meetings, training, and engagement programs
- Comply with health, safety, and risk management policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
