While the salary information varies by assignment, it aligns with industry standards for event staffing roles and includes opportunities for tips when applicable.
The role of Event Day Merchandise & Photo Booth Crew for Disney on Ice is designed to support the operational aspects of the show during event days. This position offers two different assignments that are decided onsite: working as a Concourse/Seat Vendor or operating a Photo Booth. Employees performing as vendors will engage guests by selling souvenir products throughout the concourse and seating areas during specific selling periods. They also assist with concession preparations, including tasks such as shaving ice, filling syrup dispensers, assembling popcorn and cotton candy, and other related activities.
On the other hand, Photo Booth Operators are responsible for capturing guest photos using specialized camera equipment and photo systems. They interact directly with customers to sell photo packages and handle payment transactions via credit card terminals. This role requires a brief training session before the shift to become acquainted with the photo system and camera operation. Both roles demand a high level of customer service, friendliness, and professionalism. Employees must maintain a neat appearance and be comfortable engaging with a diverse audience in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is important, as the job requires standing for extended periods, walking throughout the venue, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in lively event settings, enjoy interacting with customers, and want to be part of a team delivering memorable experiences to Disney on Ice attendees. Bluecrew emphasizes safety, health, and well-being, encouraging applicants to consider these factors before accepting assignments. The role demands flexibility, energy, and dedication to provide excellent service while adhering to food handling and safety guidelines when applicable. Overall, the Event Day Merchandise & Photo Booth Crew role offers a vibrant and engaging work environment with opportunities to develop valuable customer service and event operation skills.
