Job Description

This opportunity is with Bluecrew, a leading workforce management company that connects workers with temporary and event-based positions across various industries, including entertainment, food service, and hospitality. Bluecrew specializes in providing reliable staffing solutions for events and venues, ensuring a seamless experience both for employers and employees. The position available is for an Event Day Merchandise & Photo Booth Crew member specifically supporting the Disney on Ice show, a world-renowned live ice skating performance featuring beloved Disney characters and stories that captivate audiences of all ages. This role offers an exciting chance to be part of a dynamic, energetic environment where each day brings unique interactions and experiences with guests attending the show.

As an Event Day Merchandise & Photo Booth Crew member at Disney on Ice, employees will be assigned onsite to one of two main roles: either as a Concourse/Seat Vendor or as a Photo Booth Operator. Those serving as Concourse/Seat Vendors will actively engage with guests by selling souvenir products within the concourse or seating areas during designated times. Additionally, this role involves assisting with concessions preparation tasks such as shaving ice, filling syrup dispensers, assembling popcorn and cotton candy bags, and other preparatory work required to support the concessions team. For employees placed as Photo Booth Operators, responsibilities include operating camera and photo systems to capture memorable guest photos, engaging directly with customers to promote and sell photo packages, and processing payments efficiently using credit card terminals. Before starting their shift, Photo Booth Operators will complete a concise, approximately 30-minute training session on equipment use to ensure smooth and professional service.

The position requires standing for the entire shift, walking extensively throughout the concourse, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. Candidates must possess strong customer service skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and maintain a neat appearance to represent the Disney brand positively. Bluecrew emphasizes a commitment to politeness and professionalism at all times, as well as the ability to work well independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced and sometimes hectic event environment. The company also upholds strict guidelines for those handling food, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, including maintaining hair neatly tied back, trimmed fingernails, and covering facial hair if necessary.

This is a part-time, event-specific position ideal for individuals seeking flexible schedules, particularly those who thrive in lively atmospheres and enjoy engaging with diverse audiences. The role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in event operations and retail sales, with a focus on delivering excellent guest experiences. While this role does not specify salary details upfront, Bluecrew’s staffing model ensures fair compensation and timely payment for all assigned shifts. Given the physical nature of the duties, employees should be comfortable performing repeated movements such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout their shifts.

Working with Disney on Ice through Bluecrew allows individuals to be a part of a memorable entertainment event that brings joy to families and fans worldwide. It is a chance to contribute to creating an exceptional guest experience through personalized service while gaining skills applicable to careers in event management, retail, and customer service. Overall, this position suits outgoing, energetic individuals dedicated to maintaining high service standards in a collaborative and fast-moving work environment.
