Job Description

Bluecrew is a leading workforce platform that connects job seekers with flexible, temporary employment opportunities at various events and service venues. Known for its commitment to providing a positive and safe working environment, Bluecrew specializes in event staffing, food service, and customer engagement roles. Their innovative approach focuses on pairing workers with assignments that fit their skills and availability, ensuring a seamless experience for both employers and employees while fostering professional growth and job satisfaction.

This particular job opening is for Event Day Merchandise and Photo Booth Crew positions supporting the Disney on Ice show. Disney on Ice is a globally recognized live entertainment event featuring spectacular ice skating performances by Disney characters. The show attracts large audiences, requiring an efficient and friendly support crew to manage merchandise sales and photo booth operations. This is a dynamic role that involves engaging with guests, selling merchandise, and operating photo equipment. The position is typically part-time and on an event-day basis, offering employees an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant entertainment setting.

The role is physically engaging, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, move through concourses, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. You could be assigned either as a Concourse or Seat Vendor, responsible for selling souvenir products during designated times within seating areas or concourses. This involves assisting with concessions preparation, including tasks like shaving ice, filling syrup dispensers, and assembling popcorn and cotton candy bags. Alternatively, you may serve as a Photo Booth Operator, where you operate a camera and photo system to capture memorable moments for guests, sell photo packages, and handle payments professionally. New hires will undergo a brief training session on equipment use before their shift begins.

Customer service is at the core of this role. Candidates must present themselves professionally, maintain a neat appearance, and be comfortable interacting with fans of all ages in a polite and friendly manner. The environment can become busy and hectic, especially during show intermissions, so adaptability and teamwork are valuable traits for potential crew members.

Being part of Bluecrew’s event staff and food service team means you also might have duties that include cooking, preparing, serving, or transporting food items, operating point of sale terminals, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen tools, and performing other tasks as assigned by supervisors. Given the nature of the work, adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP) related to hygiene and appearance is mandatory, including maintaining trimmed fingernails, securing hair, and complying with dress code requirements such as wearing closed-toed shoes and pants.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work hours in an energetic setting while gaining valuable customer service and operational experience. Whether a student, part-time worker, or someone looking for event-based roles, this position offers an engaging work environment tied to a beloved and iconic Disney production.
