The Concessions Supervisor role at Oak View Group plays a vital part in ensuring exceptional food and beverage service to guests attending events at OVG-managed arenas. This role is uniquely suited for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possesses strong interpersonal skills. The Concessions Supervisor oversees multiple concession stands, bars, and portable food and beverage locations during events to guarantee smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Besides frontline supervision, this role includes responsibilities like assisting the Concessions Manager and OVG leadership team with training initiatives, inventory management, and coordinating special events. The Concessions Supervisor acts as a key liaison between employees, volunteers, and management to maintain operational efficiency, safety standards, and compliance with company policies. This position pays an hourly rate ranging between $13.00 to $15.00 and includes part-time benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with company matching. Candidates must demonstrate reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events as needed. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in supervisory food and beverage roles
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented and able to work in fast-paced environments
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Basic math calculation skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, coworkers, volunteers, management, and guests to promote a positive work environment
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions related to transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concession locations prior to doors
  • Set-up duties may include verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer), ensuring sanitation standards are met, verifying location operability, and ascertaining food production levels based on projected attendance
  • Ensure that Stand Leaders have followed cash handling procedures
  • Provide high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
  • Train new and current employees regarding property procedures and best practices
  • Cover or back up any open position to maintain location operations and meet company standards for service speed and guest satisfaction
  • Assist with Premium Services operations and event needs as directed
