The role of the Concession Floor Supervisor at SMG is a critical part-time, hourly position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of concession stands during events. This role ensures that food service is executed seamlessly and efficiently to enhance the overall guest experience. As a supervisor, you will assist the Concessions Manager by directly managing concession stand leads, attendants, and cashiers before, during, and after events. Your leadership will be key to ensuring that food is prepared and served promptly, concession stands are properly set up and broken down, and that inventory is accurately counted and managed.

This position demands a hands-on approach where you must be capable of performing any of the roles associated with concession operations including cashier, runner, and stand worker duties. Managing and motivating stand personnel professionally and efficiently is central to maintaining high service standards and adhering to company guidelines. The ability to coordinate multiple tasks, adapt to fast-paced and dynamic event environments, and meet strict service schedules will be vital for success in this role.

Additionally, the Concession Floor Supervisor must maintain compliance with health and safety standards, which includes holding current TABC Certification and a Serve Safe food handler's permit. The role requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative and positive work atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D or equivalent
  • Three years' experience in food service in a fast-paced environment
  • At least two years' supervisory experience
  • Current TABC Certification
  • Serve Safe food handler's permit
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Assist Concessions Manager in supervising concession stand leads, concession attendants and concession cashiers before, during and after events
  • Ensure food is prepared and served promptly to guests
  • Responsible for daily set-up and breakdown of concession locations
  • Verify all product counts before, during, and after events
  • Perform duties of cashier, runner, and stand worker as needed
  • Manage stand personnel professionally and efficiently according to guidelines
