Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in concessions or food and beverage management
  • Strong computer skills including POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and alcohol service regulations
  • Ability to handle cash and perform accurate reconciliations
  • Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or greater in culinary management, business management or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in concessions management or related food and beverage management
  • Degree may be substituted by four or more years experience in concessions supervision or related position
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping systems
  • Experience training new employees and volunteers
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory procedures and controls
  • Experience ordering product for a high-volume facility
  • Strong communication skills with employees, volunteers, management and guests
  • Ability to make sound business and operational decisions quickly under pressure
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Thorough knowledge of sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service policies and safety standards related to IEC operations
  • Ability to perform basic math functions relevant to cash transactions, reconciliation and inventory
  • Commitment to high standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
  • Nationally recognized food service sanitation training certification preferred
  • Nationally recognized alcohol service training certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage, develop and mentor concessions staff including initiating employee discipline
  • Complete documentation of employee performance and attendance issues
  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including inventory verification and sanitation standards
  • Oversee and ensure efficient execution of events with operational expertise
  • Manage inventory control, product ordering and high volume sales
  • Run all venue concessions operations before, during and after events including staff scheduling, POS monitoring, and guest complaint resolution
  • Provide training for new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
  • Cover or back-up open positions to ensure full operational compliance
  • Provide direction and oversight to concessions supervisors, stand managers, cooks, and cashiers
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal and IEC policies related to alcohol service, food handling, sanitation and safety
  • Report compliance issues immediately to Director of Food & Beverage
  • Complete post-event evaluations, track shortages, generate reports, and serve as a POS resource
  • Maintain a safe, harassment-free work environment and address safety concerns immediately
  • Train and mentor event staff and volunteers promoting a cooperative workplace
  • Gain working knowledge of all concession locations and facility access
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by Director of Food & Beverage and General Manager
