Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, renowned for its comprehensive platform that covers venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has established a prominent presence worldwide, overseeing seven world-class owned venues and providing services to a diverse client roster that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Their operations focus on delivering exceptional sports and entertainment experiences by combining innovative venue development with top-tier event management services.

One of the key venues managed by OVG is Synovus Park, a modern minor league baseball and entertainment facility located in Columbus, Georgia. This ballpark serves as the home field for the Columbus Clingstones, the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, and hosts 69 professional baseball games each season. Apart from sporting events, Synovus Park functions year-round as a dynamic venue accommodating a wide variety of large-scale entertainment events, capable of hosting over 5,200 guests, making it a vital cultural and entertainment hub in the Chattahoochee Valley region.

The Concessions Lead role at OVG is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations at Synovus Park's concessions stands, bars, and portable service locations during events. This role requires a personable and adaptable individual who excels in a fast-paced, ever-changing event environment. The Concessions Lead plays a crucial part in ensuring guest satisfaction by managing staff performance, supervising food and beverage service, and maintaining high operational standards. They work closely with the Concessions Manager and the overall OVG leadership team, contributing to critical projects like training new employees, inventory management, and coordinating special events.

This opportunity provides hourly pay ranging between $16.00 and $18.00 and includes benefits for part-time employees, such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. The position remains open until August 21, 2026, offering a stable and rewarding employment prospect for candidates eager to be part of a world-class entertainment company.

In this role, the Concessions Lead ensures all concession locations are set up correctly before events begin, verifies inventory levels, assigns responsibilities to workers, and upholds sanitation and safety standards. They provide operational expertise to guarantee the smooth and profitable execution of events while also training both new and current employees on best practices and property procedures. Flexibility to cover any open position is essential to maintain full operational capacity and meet high-speed service and guest satisfaction standards.

Additionally, the Concessions Lead supervises the serving of beverages, including alcohol, verifying guest IDs, handling orders using the point-of-sale system, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. They maintain a safe and harassment-free work environment, address safety concerns promptly, and foster a positive workplace culture by mentoring event staff and volunteers. This role demands excellent human resource skills for managing employee relations, coaching, and completing administrative tasks related to personnel management.

OVG values diversity, equity, and inclusion as central to its mission and operations. The company actively promotes an inclusive workplace that reflects the communities it serves, strengthening innovation and service quality. Oak View Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to non-discrimination and seeks to attract talents from varied backgrounds to continue its industry disruption with creativity and excellence.
