Job Requirements

  • High school degree/GED or equivalent
  • One year certificate from culinary school or comparable experience
  • At least two years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Maintain good personal hygiene
  • Good eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes and prep lists
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to meet required timelines
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • Must adhere to local Food Codes

Job Duties

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, assembling, and packaging food items
  • Prepare simple menu items following instructions and established procedures
  • Stock and replenish food stations, supplies, and ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries properly
  • Support cooks and supervisors during event service
  • Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned
  • Safely operate basic kitchen equipment after training
  • Other duties as assigned
