The Concessions & Bar Manager role at Citizens Live at the Wylie in Pittsburgh, PA is a critical salaried management position within Aramark’s operations. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the concessions and bar operations, where customers order prepared foods and beverages from a comprehensive menu. The manager’s role extends beyond daily operations to developing and implementing innovative concessions and bar dining solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs and tastes of customers. This involves strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure a superior customer experience while meeting financial and productivity goals.

This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of motivating and coaching team members using Aramark’s proven coaching model. The manager will be instrumental in planning and leading daily team briefings, recognizing and rewarding employee performance, and ensuring the safety and sanitation standards are strictly adhered to in all operations. Maintaining a positive client relationship is essential; the manager will identify client needs, communicate relevant progress, and ensure that client expectations are consistently met.

Financial acumen is another crucial aspect of this role. The Concessions & Bar Manager will be responsible for the completion and maintenance of profit and loss (P&L) statements and ensuring the delivery of financial targets for both the client and the company. They will adopt and utilize Aramark’s processes and systems to understand key performance metrics, data trends, and inventory management, educating their team on critical factors that influence margins and profitability.

Productivity management through efficient operations, appropriate cost control, and profit management is fundamental. The manager must supervise the team’s production quality and control, ensure the team is well-trained, and adhere to Operational Excellence fundamentals focused on meeting food and labor initiatives. Compliance with all applicable policies and regulations related to safety, health, wage, and hour laws is essential to maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.

Additional responsibilities include leading the front of the house operations at the dining facility in collaboration with the Food Service Director and coordinating food service activities to deliver a finished, high-quality product to customers. This position also requires occasional physical activity such as lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/ Residential Dining Facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Plan, direct and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
