Job Description

The DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts is a premier multi-purpose arena and convention center offering a wide range of entertainment, sporting events, concerts, and community gatherings throughout the year. Operated under ASM Global, a leading venue management company, the DCU Center is committed to providing exceptional experiences for its visitors by maintaining high standards in operations, safety, and customer service. The facility attracts thousands of visitors annually and hosts events that require efficient and professional concession operations to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with all relevant regulations.

The role of the Concession Supervisor at the DCU Center is crucial to the smooth operation of concession stands during events. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of 5 to 50 concession employees, including stand workers, bartenders, and warehouse staff. The supervisor oversees all aspects of stand operations, ensuring that company policies, safety regulations, sanitation standards, and liquor laws are strictly followed. The supervisor plays a vital part in inventory verification prior to events, assists with opening and closing procedures, and supports stand managers in troubleshooting any operational issues that arise. With a competitive hourly wage range between $18.00 and $20.00, this full-time role requires a professional who is organized, attentive to detail, and capable of working flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

In this supervisory role, the individual will manage multiple concession stands within an assigned area, ensuring proper food production, cash control, customer service, and overall compliance with company rules and safety protocols. The supervisor also ensures that all employees meet health and alcohol service requirements, such as ServSafe certification and alcohol training. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for success, as the supervisor works closely with stand managers to maintain a safe, sanitary, and customer-focused environment. Utilizing a variety of equipment including stoves, ovens, beverage machines, grills, cash registers, computers, and two-way radios, the concession supervisor coordinates operations that impact the overall guest experience at the DCU Center.

This position requires individuals who can handle administrative tasks such as completing paperwork accurately, performing inventory audits, and reporting directly to the Concessions Manager. The role demands physical stamina due to the need to lift and carry heavy items and be active on their feet throughout shifts on potentially varied terrains within the venue. The DCU Center values diversity and inclusivity and is an equal opportunity employer encouraging applicants from all backgrounds including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans. The company supports reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process and employment.

If you are a motivated leader with experience in concession or cafeteria operations and seeking an engaging supervisory position in a dynamic venue environment, the DCU Center offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to memorable guest experiences. Interested candidates are invited to apply through the DCU Center’s employment page.
