Job Requirements

  • experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • skilled in Windows, spreadsheets and word processing
  • ability to work long hours occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • experience in hotel or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Attend daily Highgate Hotel Business Review meeting
  • develop full working knowledge of hotel operations including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations
  • develop and enforce company sales policies and SOPs among team
  • meet or exceed set sales goals
  • operate Sales Department within established budget
  • participate in assigned M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage
  • initiate and follow up on leads
  • maintain active sales solicitation program
  • monitor top accounts production and market trends
  • maintain regular contact with existing accounts
  • meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals
  • invite clients for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections
  • assist with special promotions such as parties and sales blitzes
  • prepare required reports timely
  • conduct professional site inspections highlighting property features
  • manage business using computerized sales management system
  • meet and greet onsite contacts
  • adhere to Prime Selling Time
  • develop networking opportunities through community and professional events
  • review meeting planner evaluations and ensure follow-up
  • entertain clients
  • handle inquiries as part of Inquiry Day Program
