Job Description

As a bistro server within our team, you will play a vital role in delivering this outstanding service by managing order processing, payment collection, and assisting in various food and beverage operations. The role of a Bistro Server is integral to maintaining the flow and quality of service within our food outlet. This position requires an energetic individual who can effectively balance multiple responsibilities including processing customer orders, handling payments, and supporting front and back-of-house areas such as bussing tables, cleaning, resetting dining areas, and delivering orders promptly. In addition to these duties, the Bistro Server assists with food preparation for special events and banquets, ensuring all guests receive the highest standard of service and product quality. Candidates will find this role both rewarding and fast-paced, perfect for those passionate about customer interaction and food service. Employment is typically part-time or full-time depending on business needs and schedules, with competitive compensation reflecting experience and performance.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling objects
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • No prior experience required but preferred
  • Ability to provide friendly and attentive service
  • Capable of following cash handling and audit procedures
  • Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced food service environment
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation

Job Duties

  • Process all customer orders and collect payments
  • Assist in food and beverage areas including bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests
  • Prepare excellent food and beverage items as required
  • Support food prep for special events and banquets
  • Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures
  • Complete opening and closing restaurant duties
