Job Description
Forefront Living is proud to announce the opening of a brand-new Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Plano, Texas, called The Outlook at Windhaven. As part of the Forefront Living family, this community is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality senior care that addresses a wide range of needs including long-term care, Alzheimer’s and memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapies, hospice, and palliative care. The Outlook at Windhaven is built on values rooted in compassion and faith, making it much more than just a senior living facility — it’s a supportive family aimed at enriching the lives of the residents we serve.
Forefront Living’s mission is simple yet powerful: to come together and make each moment matter for those we serve. The Outlook at Windhaven embodies this mission in every interaction, every activity, and every service offered. Their team is composed of caring, dedicated individuals who strive to create an environment where seniors feel valued, engaged, and empowered. What sets The Outlook at Windhaven apart is its commitment to innovation in healthcare and business, ensuring a state-of-the-art environment that combines comfort, safety, and top-tier care.
The Outlook at Windhaven is currently seeking a Community Life Coordinator for their Memory Support unit. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors with memory impairments, including those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The Community Life Coordinator will play a critical role in enhancing residents’ quality of life through the design and implementation of tailored activity programs that address their social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs.
The role focuses heavily on fostering a positive and engaging environment that encourages residents’ participation in various activities, while ensuring that the Memory Support community feels like a genuine home. This includes tasks such as planning events, booking entertainment and guest speakers, coordinating volunteers, and supporting daily engagement through both group and one-on-one activities. Attention to detail, creativity, and a servant-hearted approach are essential to successfully fulfilling the responsibilities.
In addition to program development, the Community Life Coordinator supports safety protocols, maintains appropriate décor, assists with transportation for activities, and collaborates closely with nursing staff and care coordinators to meet the specific needs of residents. The position offers a competitive hourly wage between $17.00 and $18.00 and a work environment deeply committed to teamwork, respect, and ongoing professional growth. With a preferred educational background including a bachelor’s degree and certifications relevant to activity coordination, this is a role that balances compassion with professionalism to create meaningful experiences for senior residents in memory care.
