Job Description
Core Spaces (Core) is a pioneering real estate company committed to more than just constructing buildings — it is fundamentally a people-focused organization that prioritizes cultivating meaningful relationships. Established in 2010, Core specializes in acquiring, developing, managing, and lending within the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) sectors. It operates as a vertically integrated company, effectively combining various aspects of real estate services to provide end-to-end solutions. Core’s award-winning residential communities epitomize modern living by offering world-class amenities, progressive design, and a hospitality-driven approach to client service. With over 45,600 beds currently owned or managed in its student portfolio and over 45,000 beds in various development stages as of November 2024, Core is an industry leader dedicated to innovating the future of living. The company’s BTR division, focused on high-growth metropolitan areas, has over 3,000 homes under development or in its pipeline, reflecting its robust growth and market presence. Core’s cultural values—PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better)—are deeply embedded in all its operations and represent the company’s commitment to collaboration, innovation, and exceptional resident experience. These principles drive Core’s continuous efforts to redefine housing through creative design solutions, superior service, and a strong community ethos.
The Community Leasing Manager role at Core Spaces is an on-site leadership position responsible for overseeing all leasing and marketing activities at assigned properties. This pivotal role ensures efficient lease administration, creation and implementation of strategic marketing plans, and the smooth daily operation of the leasing office. The Community Leasing Manager leads the leasing team, promotes staff development, and upholds Core’s high standards of property presentation and compliance. This manager acts as a hands-on leader, balancing staff management with marketing strategy, operational oversight, and collaboration on special projects, including HR and People Operations tasks. The position requires availability for full shifts onsite, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during resident move-ins and move-outs. Physical capabilities for the role include regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks involving bending or stooping.
The ideal candidate for this position brings a strong background in property management or related fields with at least two years of experience, preferably in student housing leasing. Comfortable with leadership responsibilities, the candidate should be proficient in essential office tools and both Windows and Apple operating systems. Experience in social media marketing, especially content creation and management, as well as familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva, is highly valued. Proficiency with property management software like Entrata will significantly enhance the candidate’s effectiveness in this role. Reporting to the Community Manager and supervising Leasing Associates and Community Concierges, the Community Leasing Manager is integral to both staff success and resident satisfaction within Core’s dynamic portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to work within a culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and personal well-being, with benefits designed to foster a supportive work environment and rewarding employee experiences.
