Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in community engagement, event production, membership management, or sales required
  • Knowledge of Black entrepreneurship and economic development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and CRM software
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports
  • Must reside in the local Atlanta host city market
  • This is an independent contractor role

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Experience in community engagement, event production, membership management, and/or sales required
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of our target audience, its greater community, and its businesses and economic landscape
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Monday Project Management and CRM tools

Job Duties

  • Lead outreach and networking efforts to recruit new members and Brand Ambassadors
  • Foster member satisfaction and retention through personalized support and community building initiatives
  • Promote DEN at local events, community committees, and other opportunities to increase visibility and relevance
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute monthly member-only salons and annual community fundraising events
  • Collaborate with Brand Ambassadors, creatives, and partners to ensure culturally resonant and mission-aligned event programming
  • Advise on tone, visuals, and audience engagement strategies for all events and activations
  • Manage and nurture relationships with local brand partners, creatives, nonprofits, and community organizations
  • Align partnerships with DEN’s core pillars: arts, economic development, and health and wellness
  • Create and review marketing campaigns and promotional content for cultural sensitivity and strategic impact
  • Develop campaigns to drive membership sales and achieve recruitment and revenue targets
  • Analyze membership metrics, event performance, and partnership success, delivering regular insights and recommendations to headquarters
