Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience working in formal or informal learning
  • One or more years of relevant professional experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute educational programs for youth
  • Experience with accessibility and inclusion
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to drive and operate outreach van
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required
  • FBI fingerprint clearance
  • PA Child Abuse History Certification (Act 33)
  • PA State Criminal Record Check (Act 34)

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in formal or informal learning
  • One or more years of experience in accessibility, program planning, or education-related roles preferred
  • Ability to plan and execute youth-oriented programs promoting kindness, joy, creativity and curiosity
  • Experience in accessibility and inclusion, preferably in a museum or similar setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to convey information effectively to children and adults
  • Ability to create school-based offerings
  • Valid PA driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Create, lead, and participate in evaluation of off-site programs
  • Assist with materials preparation and planning for off-site activities
  • Maintain administrative records including attendance and mileage tracking for offsite events
  • Ensure off-site programming is fun, educational, relevant, and inclusive for diverse learners
  • Support accessible programs and partnerships for children with disabilities using a universal design for learning approach
  • Facilitate experiences for the Museum's participation in off-site festivals and events
  • Maintain positive relationships with schools, educators, community members and stakeholders while delivering high quality off-site programming
