Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience working in formal or informal learning
- One or more years of relevant professional experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute educational programs for youth
- Experience with accessibility and inclusion
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to drive and operate outreach van
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required
- FBI fingerprint clearance
- PA Child Abuse History Certification (Act 33)
- PA State Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience in formal or informal learning
- One or more years of experience in accessibility, program planning, or education-related roles preferred
- Ability to plan and execute youth-oriented programs promoting kindness, joy, creativity and curiosity
- Experience in accessibility and inclusion, preferably in a museum or similar setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to convey information effectively to children and adults
- Ability to create school-based offerings
- Valid PA driver’s license
Job Duties
- Create, lead, and participate in evaluation of off-site programs
- Assist with materials preparation and planning for off-site activities
- Maintain administrative records including attendance and mileage tracking for offsite events
- Ensure off-site programming is fun, educational, relevant, and inclusive for diverse learners
- Support accessible programs and partnerships for children with disabilities using a universal design for learning approach
- Facilitate experiences for the Museum's participation in off-site festivals and events
- Maintain positive relationships with schools, educators, community members and stakeholders while delivering high quality off-site programming
