Job Description
Core Spaces (Core) is more than just a real estate company; it is fundamentally a people company that values relationship-building as much as property development. Established in 2010, Core has carved a unique niche in the real estate sector by focusing on creating innovative living environments that redefine the way residents experience their homes. As a vertically integrated real estate investment manager, Core specializes in acquiring, developing, and managing properties primarily in the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) markets. With a portfolio boasting over 74,440 student housing beds and a pipeline of more than 53,860 beds in development, Core stands as a prominent force nationally in this dynamic sector. Its BTR division complements this with over 3,000 homes either in development, leasing, or planning stages across high-growth metropolitan areas.
Core operates under six core cultural values that steer its mission and daily operations: PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better). These values foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, all aimed at enhancing the resident experience. This culture not only defines the company's operational ethos but also its commitment to building communities marked by world-class amenities, progressive designs, and hospitality-driven services.
The Community Concierge role at Core Spaces is pivotal to maintaining the seamless operation of the leasing office and fostering an engaging community atmosphere. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities including conducting property tours for prospective residents, managing marketing initiatives, spearheading resident retention efforts, and providing on-call support during evenings or overnight shifts. The Community Concierge acts as the frontline ambassador for Core’s branded lifestyle, ensuring that the community environment reflects the company’s high standards and commitment to resident satisfaction.
This role requires adaptable, customer-focused individuals who are not only adept at managing day-to-day leasing office tasks but also enthusiastic about engaging with residents and prospects to build strong community ties. The Community Concierge supports marketing through content creation, social media management, and event planning, often representing the community at student organization presentations and local events. This ensures the community remains vibrant and continuously connected to its residents.
Core Spaces offers prospective Community Concierges a culture that promotes belonging, competitive compensation that recognizes individual contributions, and generous paid time off allowing employees to recharge and celebrate life's milestones. Additionally, employees benefit from having a voice in the workplace, access to confidential support services via an Employee Assistance Program, and participation in company retirement plans including 401(k) options with matching and Roth features.
This position demands flexibility with work hours, often requiring availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week, with shifts lasting at least three hours. Evening, weekend, and overtime shifts may also be necessary, especially during high-demand periods such as move-ins and move-outs. Candidates should be prepared for some physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, maintaining balance on various surfaces, and being mobile throughout the workday.
Overall, working as a Community Concierge at Core Spaces offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that values innovation, community engagement, and employee growth. Candidates with strong communication skills, a dedication to service excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will find this role rewarding and impactful.
