Job Description
The hiring establishment is a dynamic company focused on fostering community engagement and corporate citizenship within its business units and external communities. As a forward-thinking organization, it is committed to integrating corporate social responsibility into its business strategies and cultivating a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and sustainable development. The company operates across various sectors and emphasizes strategic partnerships with local, community, city, state, and federal organizations to expand opportunities and drive impactful initiatives.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to manage the development and implementation of Community & Citizenship (C&C) programs within the business unit. Reporting to the Community & Citizenship Director, General Manager, or Business Development leadership, the role is pivotal in driving program results and continuous improvement efforts aligned with the business unit's goals and the overarching C&C strategic pillars. The successful candidate will lead initiatives that communicate the benefits of community engagement and corporate citizenship across departments, enabling leadership to actively promote these values both internally and with clients.
The role involves creating and managing a comprehensive strategic plan that supports business unit goals while aligning with the company's vision and mission. This includes fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes diversity and inclusion, ensuring that these values are embedded in all community and citizenship initiatives. The individual will be responsible for budgeting, managing stakeholder feedback and metrics analysis to identify trends, and evolving programs to maximize impact.
A critical component of the role is partnership management. The candidate will build trusted relationships with Underrepresented Business Enterprises (UBEs) and collaborate closely with the Procurement Department to lead UBE programs that meet established objectives. This requires understanding utilization metrics, sharing knowledge of certified UBEs, increasing bid opportunities, and organizing outreach events to foster these partnerships. The role also demands coordination of internal partnerships to ensure timely, measurable, and high-quality plan results, as well as delivering C&C content in support of sales pursuits and participating in broader business initiatives.
Continuous improvement and innovation are key aspects of this position. The candidate will participate in national Community & Citizenship efforts to recommend new approaches and procedures, contributing to the evolution of the company’s corporate social responsibility programs. This multifaceted role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community development and social impact.
In summary, this Community & Citizenship Manager position is ideal for a driven professional dedicated to making a difference through strategic community engagement and inclusivity initiatives. The role not only supports business objectives but also fosters a positive culture within the organization and promotes connectivity through meaningful staff engagement in community and citizenship programs. The position represents a unique opportunity to influence and shape the company's social responsibility agenda while delivering measurable outcomes that benefit both the business and the broader community.
