Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- some work experience preferably in dispatch or routing calls in customer service
- NAACS, IAMTCS certification or industry accepted equivalent
- emergency medical dispatch certification
- EMT-B or paramedic certification
- proficiency in any industry accepted dispatch software
- strong customer service skills
- minimum 2 years experience in EMS, 911, aviation dispatch or equivalent healthcare related dispatch or customer service role
- ability to remain calm during stress
- adaptability to evolving work demands
Job Qualifications

- proficiency in any industry accepted dispatch software
- strong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism
- minimum 2 years experience in EMS/911/aviation dispatch or 2 years work experience as EMT or paramedic in 911 or hospital environment or minimum 2 years customer service or dispatch experience in non-911 environment with at least 1 year in healthcare, EMS, or public safety
- ability to remain calm during highly stressful situations
- ability to adapt and respond appropriately to evolving work demands
Job Duties
- Meet customer needs in a prompt, professional, courteous, and respectful manner
- serve as a resource for program partners
- utilize excellent telephone skills and etiquette
- relay flight requests rapidly and accurately to appropriate transport resources
- participate in ongoing staff development and skills maintenance
- promote a focus on patient and crew safety
- initiate post-accident incident plan (PAIP) when indicated
