The Communications Coordinator position at Cohere Life, Inc. is a pivotal role designed for a dynamic, tech-savvy professional with a passion for community engagement. This full-time, non-exempt role, reporting directly to the Executive Director, is based onsite in Mariposa, Rio Rancho. The Coordinator will act as a bridge between the company and its diverse community by driving effective communication strategies that embody the company’s core values and brand voice. With a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24 to $26, the role offers a unique opportunity for career growth in a fast-paced environment.

As a Communications Coordinator, the ideal candidate will spearhead the creation and dissemination of engaging messaging that resonates with residents, neighbors, nonprofits, and partners. This includes drafting content that aligns with Associated Press style standards and reflects Mariposa's community spirit. The Coordinator will manage multiple digital communication tools such as eblasts, website updates, and event registration platforms to ensure timely and impactful information reaches the community. Beyond content creation, the role involves providing technical and design support to internal teams, facilitating HOA board meetings, and contributing to the development of community event strategies that foster collective experiences and enduring traditions.

The role demands expert organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines, often requiring flexible working hours including evenings and weekends. The Coordinator will also analyze resident feedback and data to tailor engagement programs, contributing proactively to strategic planning for events and enrichment offerings. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in communications marketing journalism or related field
  • familiarity with Associated Press Style writing preferred
  • bachelor's degree or applicable work experience in a related field preferred
  • effective communication motivation cooperation and conflict resolution skills required
  • knowledge of community associations amenities and governance preferred
  • experience with web-based platforms including WordPress Mailchimp and Survey Monkey required
  • proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop Illustrator and Acrobat Pro required
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams and SharePoint required
  • must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • able to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • maintain casual-professional appearance and wear association-branded apparel as requested by management

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in communications marketing journalism or related field
  • experience with Associated Press Style writing preferred
  • bachelor's degree or applicable work experience in a related field preferred
  • effective communication motivation cooperation and conflict resolution skills required
  • knowledge of community associations amenities and governance a plus with at least 1 year community association management experience preferred
  • experience with web-based platforms including WordPress Mailchimp and Survey Monkey required
  • comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop Illustrator and Acrobat Pro required
  • proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams and SharePoint required

Job Duties

  • Lead communication initiatives and resident outreach activities focusing on delivering the brand promises through targeted efforts
  • support the executive director by drafting messaging and materials that share the community's values vision and philosophies
  • write copy using Associated Press Style and the Cohere voice that aligns with Mariposa's unique brand creating compelling motivating content
  • produce eblasts that support timely dissemination of operational and engagement information
  • manage technical execution of digital communications including eblasts website updates page builds and event registration platforms
  • ensure the resident website is user-friendly with informative creative and easy to read content
  • provide technical support and design for Community Life Team including HOA board meetings and preparations
  • actively participate in monthly team meetings share best practice knowledge collaboratively solve problems serve as a mentor and leader
  • direct planning and implementation of community event strategy including establishment of traditions and signature events
  • contribute to strategic visioning and development of work plans for engagement programs including events social activities community service resident clubs and enrichment programs
  • analyze resident surveys and data to develop programming solutions and create programs aligned with resident data and interests
  • organize and report data for board reports based on MailChimp and Google Analytics
  • perform other tasks as assigned
