As a Communications Coordinator at Kline Galland, you will play a critical role in supporting both the Communications and Fund Development Departments. The position is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment, managing a variety of communications projects that effectively promote the Kline Galland brand and story. Reporting directly to the Director of Communications, you will coordinate efforts across internal departments and external vendors to deliver compelling digital and print collateral. Your work will encompass a broad range of projects such as the organization's quarterly print newsletter, fundraising materials, engaging social media content, website pages, advertisements, event collateral, and much more.

This role is central to ensuring that Kline Galland’s mission and values are clearly communicated to diverse audiences, enhancing community engagement and supporting fundraising initiatives that sustain and grow the organization’s impact. You will be responsible for content creation, collection, and management, leveraging tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, and various donor management systems to streamline communications and marketing activities. Your outreach will extend across multiple online platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others, where you'll analyze engagement metrics to optimize strategies for community growth and involvement.

As Communications Coordinator, you will support fundraising efforts with collateral creation, donor database management, research, recognition efforts, and event planning. You will collaborate closely with the Fund Development Department and the Director of Communications to maintain consistency in messaging and brand voice, while also stepping in to assist with administrative duties as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in communications marketing or related field
  • 1-3 years of communications marketing experience
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work closely with multiple teams and leadership
  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach to decision-making
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Political savvy integrity and discretion

  • Experience with digital tools and platforms
  • Experience in project management or administrative coordination is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in communications marketing or related field
  • 1-3 years of communications marketing experience
  • Experience in nonprofit mission-driven organization is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work closely with multiple teams and leadership
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion manage multiple projects troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Positive attitude with decisive and collaborative decision-making approach

  • Political savvy integrity and discretion in managing relationships with board members donors and staff

  • High level of comfort navigating digital programs systems and processes
  • Experience with Meta business suite social media platforms MailChimp Wordpress Microsoft Office Canva Adobe Creative Suite and donor management tools is a plus

Job Duties

  • Coordinate communications projects and initiatives in collaboration with internal departments and external vendors ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational priorities
  • Assist with the creation collection and management of print and digital collateral creative assets data photos and testimonials
  • Support the implementation of Kline Galland's strategy to grow and engage community through social media and digital marketing including analyzing metrics
  • Write edit and proofread content in alignment with brand standards including social media posts blogs website content emails and correspondence
  • Collaborate with Communications Director and Fund Development Department to design and populate content for multimedia wall using Canva and digital signage software
  • Support fundraising efforts including collateral creation database management donor research recognition scheduling meeting coordination solicitation tracking and philanthropy administrative duties
  • Work closely with third-party signage vendors to facilitate design ordering and installation of donor plaques and building signage
