The role of a Commercial Refrigeration Technician at Nextech is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the performance of commercial refrigeration systems across various client locations. Job Requirements
- Specific industry certification/license
- EPA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of recent HVAC/R technician field experience required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Job Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proficient in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools, refrigerant recovery equipment, and specialized instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Advanced understanding of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration principles
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- Provides the highest level of customer service, technical ability, and quality to customers
- Installs, maintains, and repairs standard refrigeration units for commercial customers such as reach-in coolers and freezers, beverage dispensers, walk-in coolers and freezers and rack units
- Diagnoses and repairs electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of commercial refrigeration systems
- Travels to job sites in assigned service area and works with assigned dispatcher(s) to maintain schedule and communicate delays
- Available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to address emergency service needs
- Maintains good working order, cleanliness, and organization of company vehicle
- Maintains proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment upon arrival
- Documents details of services and parts provided electronically
- Diagnoses service issues, obtains replacement parts, calibrates systems according to manufacturer specifications, and communicates solutions
- Participates in training and adheres to safety policies
- Identifies and reports potential additional business opportunities
- Follows all environmental regulations for refrigerant handling and disposal
- Performs other related duties as assigned
