As a Commercial Kitchen Equipment (CKE) Technician at Nextech, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial food service equipment. This dynamic role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues with precision, performing repairs to manufacturer specifications, and installing equipment to meet client needs. You will be entrusted with working independently in the field while having the backing of a dedicated support team to ensure your success. Your daily operations will include managing schedules, documenting work accurately using electronic tools, and providing superior customer service that identifies and responds to additional service opportunities. Job Requirements

  • valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to climb ladders and access rooftops comfortably
  • ability to use hand tools and electronic devices regularly
  • able to work in tight or elevated spaces indoors and outdoors
  • ability to handle exposure to weather, electrical equipment, and commercial machinery
  • able to wear protective equipment such as helmet, goggles, and boots
  • ability to perform regular bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • industry certifications a plus
  • strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities
  • ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to craftsmanship
  • able to handle physical demands and field conditions

Job Duties

  • performing service, repair, installation, and maintenance on various commercial kitchen equipment including refrigeration
  • diagnosing mechanical, electronic, and electrical issues and making repairs to manufacturer specifications
  • coordinating daily schedules with dispatch and communicating delays or changes professionally
  • managing accurate and detailed electronic work orders and documentation using a company-issued iPad
  • answering customer questions, identifying additional service needs, and delivering exceptional customer experience
  • participating in rotating on-call shifts for emergency service needs
  • maintaining company vehicle, tools, and inventory to high standards
  • attending ongoing technical training to stay updated with industry advancements
  • reporting safety concerns and identifying potential new business opportunities
  • supporting team culture of service, excellence, and safety
