Job Description

Walmart is a globally recognized retail giant committed to helping people save money and live better. With thousands of stores, clubs, distribution centers, and corporate campuses across the country, Walmart is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and delivering quality products to millions of customers daily. As part of its continuous growth and commitment to operational excellence, Walmart is expanding its team to include skilled Commercial Food Equipment Maintenance Technicians and Senior Commercial Food Equipment Maintenance Technicians. These roles are critical in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality in Walmart's food service and kitchen equipment.

This is an in-person position offering a stable and rewarding career path with Walmart. The company holds a virtual hiring event on June 30th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CDT to recruit qualified candidates who are passionate about their work and eager to develop their skills further. This role is not just a job but a chance to be part of a supportive team that values professional growth and workplace safety.

As a Commercial Food Equipment Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of commercial food service and kitchen systems. Your work will ensure that essential equipment such as combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers, and grease/oil systems operate efficiently and safely. You will oversee preventative maintenance schedules that minimize downtime and contribute to a safe environment for both employees and customers.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will provide training to store associates on proper equipment care and cleaning practices, building a knowledgeable team that supports daily operations. This role requires at least three years of hands-on experience with commercial food service equipment repair, a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record held for a minimum of three years, and eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Walmart offers regular schedules, robust benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, employee discounts, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. Joining Walmart as a Commercial Food Equipment Maintenance Technician means more than just employment — it means entering a workplace where you can learn, grow, and succeed in a career with stability and advancement opportunities. Whether your expertise is already well-honed or you seek to develop further, Walmart provides the tools and support to help you reach your potential and contribute to an organization committed to excellence.
