Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Meet minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP certificate
  • Meet current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hours requirements set by FAA and company
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, or crawl
  • Able to sit for long periods
  • Capable of lifting or moving items up to 75 pounds
  • Adhere to FAA medical visual standards
  • Able to hear verbal communications clearly in noisy environments
  • Possess stamina to work long days with variable weather conditions
  • Able to move freely and quickly in confined aircraft environment
  • Able to sit in pilot or jump seat with safety restraints without modifications
  • Willing to travel up to 100% including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays
  • Willing to relocate based on operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must meet minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP certificate
  • ATP written is preferred
  • Meet current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hours requirements set by FAA and company
  • Prior customer service experience preferably in an aviation environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and understand technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, dispatch, crew, passengers, and air traffic control
  • Able to speak and be understood in English including shouted verbal commands during emergencies
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables with limited standardization
  • Capable of interpreting multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergencies including medical situations, decompressions, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence
  • Makes decisions supporting strategic direction with understanding of potential safety-of-flight consequences
  • Processes information quickly and acts appropriately under high stress

Job Duties

  • Provide the Captain with proper planning of each flight utilizing all applicable weather information and reports in accordance with company policies and procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Determine that the aircraft is air-worthy in accordance with FARs and company policies and procedures
  • Complete appropriate preflight inspections
  • Ensure the flight is planned and fueled properly together with the Captain so that the flight may be conducted safely and in accordance with policies and regulations
  • Safely, properly and effectively operate the aircraft during designated duty in accordance with the Captain's instruction, FARs, and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated, FARs governing operation, manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Notify crew and passengers of turbulent weather conditions or operational factors affecting flight
  • Complete the load manifest for each flight
  • Contribute to reliable and on-time operation by assisting the Captain in meeting report times, departure times, and minimum turn times
  • Assist with proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo while at the terminal
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance according to company procedures
  • Present a professional appearance and adhere to the company uniform dress code
  • Conductself professionally and observe the rules of conduct as outlined in company manuals, handbook, and related policies
  • Continue professional training towards upgrading performance and abilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by company and Captain
