Job Requirements
- One year retail or full service sales
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred
- Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Oracle and POS applications
- Understanding of computers, mobile devices and social media platforms
- Ability to travel to shows and sales meetings minimum three times a year
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
- Commitment to scheduled hours with flexibility for additional hours
- May be required to work in other stores and field
- Strong time management and organization
- Ability to present professional image
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- One year retail or full service sales experience
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising strongly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Oracle and POS applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of computers, mobile devices and social media platforms
- Ability to travel to shows and sales meetings at least three times a year
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
Job Duties
- Dominate the industry in talent development, technical and selling skills
- Passionate desire to learn and grow
- Schedule, prepare and follow through on business development days to increase product knowledge and develop professional vendor and customer relationships
- Remain agile to changes in the market while building industry knowledge and intuition
- Be the category expert in color curl/texture, sharing information with team and customers
- Create an organized work environment and workflow to efficiently service customers
- Communicate upward and cross functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans and assistance needed
- Attend all meetings, functions and events and maintain regular contact
- Conduct effective basic in-store, salon and virtual education
- Determine customers needs and offer products and services aligned with those needs
- Conduct periodic meetings to enhance employee relations and keep employees informed
- Initiate business relationships to gain customer trust and confidence for effective selling and service
- Develop and review market analysis, organize prospect funnel process and open new accounts with follow up
- Meet or exceed established metrics, color growth goals and other standards
- Establish technical expertise on products and programs
- Implement marketing and merchandising programs, and survey assignments for social marketing
- Utilize social media to drive business and promote customer and vendor events
- Create customer profile system for major accounts outlining marketing, sales, and merchandising strategies
- Resolve customer service issues in a timely and effective manner
- Ensure correct store opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards of color and curl merchandising, placement, signage and display
- Coordinate company’s special promotion activities in color and curl categories
- Own inventory accuracy with cycle counts, shelf stocking, and monitoring product turnover
- Communicate with corporate partners on trends, styles and products
- Utilize cold-calling to generate new customers
- Comply with procedures on returns and approved conversions
- Complete assignments and projects timely
- Adhere to company safety procedures and laws
