The Porter role at Gerber Collision & Glass is vital in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of customer vehicles and shop facilities. The Porter is also responsible for transporting customer vehicles to sublet locations for specialized repairs, maintaining the neatness of parking lots and grounds, and assisting in the upkeep of both office interiors and production areas. Essential duties include daily housekeeping tasks such as emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, dusting countertops, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment. Job Duties
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
- Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops
- Maintain daily housekeeping of production area including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment
- Maintain parking lots and grounds, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
- Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs
- Perform exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs
- Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs
