The individual will be responsible for assembling patient trays for lunch and dinner, managing inventory and supplies, and assisting with trayline operations. Working conditions require adherence to health codes, cleanliness, and safety protocols, with responsibilities including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, documenting food temperatures, and participating in departmental meetings and training sessions.
This role is ideal for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience in quantity food preparation, preferably between six months to one year. The position typically operates in a fast-paced environment where meeting time constraints and maintaining consistent food quality are paramount. Physical requirements include the ability to operate kitchen equipment, handle heavy objects up to 50 pounds, work in varied areas of the kitchen including high and low spots, and safely manage hazardous materials and cleaning duties. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties
- Follow standardized recipes for all menu items
- Check the quality and quantity of all items prepared
- Perform basic production and preparation from menu items
- Check tally for items to be prepared for lunch and dinner patient trays
- Check holding areas to determine food items needed for the day and address items of unacceptable quality
- Maintain a safe sanitary work area meeting Board of Health regulations
- Clean and sanitize work area including tables, equipment, utensils, and refrigerator units
- Date and rotate all food items to ensure proper utilization and rotation
- Document temperatures of food and equipment
- Attend area and department meetings and inservices
- Assist trayline position
- Inventory and stock supplies to ensure adequate quantities are available
- Replenish, organize, and restore all supplies properly
