Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one to two years' experience in food and beverage industry
- prior experience working in luxury hotel environment is preferred
- ability to use computer and food and beverage management systems
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- flexibility to work various shifts
- strong attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- One to two years' previous experience in food and beverage outlet
- previous employment experience within luxury hotels is considered an asset
- ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems
- strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience in collaboration with a team of servers
- manage the host stand and review the reservation book
- make recommendations as to the setup of the table sections
- ensure cleanliness of each section of the dining rooms and make necessary improvements
- check each table prior to opening to ensure its proper set
- develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and restaurant information
