Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years' experience in food and beverage industry
  • prior experience working in luxury hotel environment is preferred
  • ability to use computer and food and beverage management systems
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • flexibility to work various shifts
  • strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years' previous experience in food and beverage outlet
  • previous employment experience within luxury hotels is considered an asset
  • ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems
  • strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience in collaboration with a team of servers
  • manage the host stand and review the reservation book
  • make recommendations as to the setup of the table sections
  • ensure cleanliness of each section of the dining rooms and make necessary improvements
  • check each table prior to opening to ensure its proper set
  • develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and restaurant information
