Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a North Central College student
- Previous barista experience
- Availability to work 2-6 hours per week varying based on events
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment
- Ability to provide customer service in a professional manner
Job Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a North Central College student in good academic standing
- Show strong attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to communicate with staff, faculty, students, and community members in a clear, professional, and friendly manner
- Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills
- Previous Barista Experience required
Job Duties
- Provide barista service for events in conjunction with The Coffee Lab
- Assist in the development of various signature drinks for The Coffee Lab
- Assist in Coffee Lab engaged learning opportunities for the NCC and broader community
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning of the espresso cart, machine and related coffee equipment
- Assist in other coffee service prep as needed
- Assist in training other staff on basic barista skills
- Provide tours for visitors to The Lab when applicable
