Baristas play a vital role in supporting customer satisfaction by preparing drinks and assisting with food preparation according to brand standards. They will skilfully operate the Point Of Sale (POS) systems to process payments accurately and efficiently. As a Coffee Barista, you are expected to greet customers warmly, anticipate their needs, and ensure that every interaction results in a positive and memorable experience. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and order in the coffee bar and designated areas, organizing equipment, stocking beverage coolers, and adhering strictly to health and safety protocols to promote hygiene and food safety. Cash handling responsibilities include managing the cash drawer and completing cashier documentation, following established policies and procedures.

Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking, with the possible requirement to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While prior barista experience is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement; candidates with prior customer service skills and cash handling experience are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English for communication and understanding recipes is essential. The position also requires candidates to comply with an assigned dress code and obtain Food Handling Certification. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service preferred
Basic math skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Good communication skills
Food Handling Certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to comply with dress code
Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
Flexibility to work full-time shifts
Ability to follow health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

Previous customer service skills is an asset
Candidates with previous experience in cash handling are encouraged to apply
Barista experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Adequate skills in basic mathematics and counting
Capacity to work independently with minimal monitoring
Fluency in English reading communication and recipe comprehension
Food Handling Certification needs to be acquired in accordance with standards
Ability to observe assigned dress code
Ability to meet physical demands including lifting bending pushing pulling and extended walking and standing
Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Job Duties

Skillfully manage a register/POS system to process payments efficiently and accurately including cash and credit card transactions
Extend greetings and aid to customers predicting their needs to ensure a satisfactory experience
Execute the brand's criteria while making and providing coffee, tea, and distinctive drinks to customers
Meet the location's standards by properly preparing and presenting food items to customers
Keep the cash drawer in order complete the necessary cashier documentation and process bank deposits efficiently
Uphold the cash handling policies and procedures specified by Aramark
Organize and disassemble coffee bar designated areas or retail facility paying attention to cleanliness and systematic layout
Maintain cleanliness in the workplace by regularly sanitizing equipment and keeping the area orderly
Stock up on beverage coolers ready-to-eat items serving utensils and sauces
Comply with health and safety measures when preparing food and beverages to prevent contamination and promote cleanliness
Perform supplementary tasks as required by superiors
