Job Description

Core Spaces (Core) is a forward-thinking real estate company that prioritizes people above all else. Founded on the belief that building relationships is just as vital as the construction of properties, Core Spaces brings together a talented team of researchers, architects, designers, and operators who are driven by a mission to invent the future of living. With six foundational cultural values—PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better)—the company fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. These values are embedded in every project and interaction, ensuring that Core Spaces creates environments that truly enhance the resident experience while redefining how people live.

New Here Coffee, a distinctive venture operated by Core Spaces within their student housing communities, serves as a vibrant hub for students and residents. Beyond being just a coffee shop, New Here Coffee acts as a social anchor on campus, fueling connection, energy, and culture one cup at a time. Known for its quality drinks, welcoming atmosphere, and community-centered vibe, it provides students a perfect spot for a quick coffee break, studying, or socializing with friends. The coffee shop plays a crucial role in complementing the living experience at Core Spaces by promoting a sense of community and belonging.

The Barista role at New Here Coffee is a key position that combines customer service, operational efficiency, and brand representation. This part-time position requires a minimum availability of 15 hours per week, with shifts generally lasting at least three hours. Baristas are expected to deliver high-quality espresso drinks, teas, and house specialties consistently while maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized café environment. The role demands someone with energy, positivity, and a passion for creating an inviting atmosphere. Flexibility is essential as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and the occasional overtime or travel. A Barista at New Here Coffee is not just a service provider but a vibrant contributor to the overall campus living experience, embodying the Core Spaces values and contributing to a memorable and engaging community space. This role also offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values your perspectives and encourages growth. Compensation is competitive, reflecting your contributions, and includes various benefits such as paid time off, employee assistance programs, and retirement plan options.
