The role of the Dishwasher at Flanigan's is vital in supporting the kitchen and front-of-house operations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant. This position is responsible for washing and sanitizing all plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils in compliance with Flanigan’s strict sanitation policies. Maintaining a clean kitchen environment is critical to ensuring food safety and operational efficiency. The Dishwasher will be expected to follow all company safety and sanitation procedures, contribute to the upkeep of the kitchen and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris, and assist with opening and closing duties. Additionally, the Dishwasher prepares and maintains the dishwashing machine during operating hours to ensure smooth and continuous service.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a similar role preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- must be able to stand for long periods
- strong attention to detail
- basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
- cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness, sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
- perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
