Bussers act as the stagehands of the dining environment, continuously cleaning and setting up Flanigan's Dining Rooms, Bars, and Patios to create a welcoming ambiance. These team members support servers, bartenders, and the entire staff by preparing the restaurant areas meticulously—clearing tables, cleaning spills, resetting tableware, and ensuring all seating arrangements are sanitary. The job involves extensive interaction with the environment and contributes directly to maintaining a high level of hygiene and readiness.
Bussers are tasked with more than just cleaning; they assist guests quietly and efficiently, clearing dishes and glassware during service to keep the dining flow uninterrupted. Additionally, they maintain cleanliness in restrooms, waiting areas, patio spaces, and parking lots, contributing to an overall pleasant atmosphere. - Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in damp and high-temperature environments
- Completion and passing of food safety certification
- Completion and passing of Florida Responsible Vendor program
- Ability to communicate effectively in English

- Experience working in a damp and high-temperature indoor environment with minimal outdoor exposure
- Completion and passing of Florida Responsible Vendor program compliant with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
- Completion and passing of food safety certification compliant with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Clean and set up tables for new guests in a timely manner
- Assist guests by clearing dishes and glassware
- Remove all trash and debris from bar and dining area floors
- Maintain restroom cleanliness, patio areas, waiting areas, and outside parking lots
- Ensure all high chairs and booster seats are sanitary
- Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework
